About Me

My Brother-in-law suggested I start a blog, a little while ago, before the business was even taking shape.  He suggested I blog about the small things I do as a Mum to take care of the world - to give other people ideas of how easy it is to make small changes in your life that are effective, sustainable and green

But the thing is, I was actually doing most of this (apart from the cloth nappies) well before our little one came along.  I've long held the belief that we have to take care of the world, so that our families that come after actually have this amazing world to enjoy as well.  My husband and I had decided not to have children, however, our greatest surprise came along and now we do this for our children and our childrens children.

We just moved into a new/old house early this year - an early 1900's Villa, and have spent the last few months renovating the kitchen, bathroom and what will become my workroom for Rejuvenate, so follow my journey as I start a garden, install vege plots, a kitchen garden and spruce up (or pull out) most of the garden that the old owners left

This blog is about my adventures in the kitchen, where I share recipes (new and old).  It's about the organic food we grow in our garden and how to make use of this produce, especially when there is an over supply!  It's also about my discoveries as a parent (to one mischievous boy and another baby due in February 2012), raising happy and confident children through thoughtful parenting.

We are trying to live a considerate, peaceful and simple life and will share the changes in myself and our lifestyle.  I am pretty much learning as I go, I hope this blog can inspire you to rediscover your connection to the Earth, to the food we can grow ourselves, to simplifying your life and living better.
We enjoy finding ways to live more frugally after going very slowly down from 2 resonable incomes nearly 3 years ago to being on 1, by being energy efficient or just working out clever ways to do everyday things.
